The Lord is the Master of our school

Philosophy statement
At Hyland House School we recognise that God, the Creator and Sustainer of the earth, and the entire universe, is the source of knowledge and wisdom. He created us in perfect humanity. As a result of sin, humans lost this original state. We believe that through Christian Education, with faith in Christ, we can be restored in the image of our Maker.

Through the educational programme offered at our school, our goal is to prepare children for effective citizenship on this earth and for rewarding citizenship in the new earth.

Hyland House SDA Independent School Welcomed to London 2012’s Get Set Network

Pupils and teachers at Hyland House celebrated today when they were officially welcomed in to London 2012’s Get Set network, in recognition of their commitment to the Olympic and Paralympic Values.
Mr Tencho has been in charge of getting our school registered and we wish to thank him for his great efforts.
The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) awarded Hyland House School a plaque and certificate to acknowledge their involvement in the London 2012 education programme. We are now a part of an active London 2012 community of schools and colleges across the UK– the Get Set network – and will receive access to exclusive competitions and 2012 Games related opportunities over the coming years.
Hyland House has clearly demonstrated that London 2012’s education programme extends far beyond PE and sport and they will motivate other young people to join their journey.
Sebastian Coe, chairman of LOCOG, said: “When London won the right to host the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, we made a clear promise to use the power of the 2012 Games to inspire young people. “I am proud to welcome Hyland House School in to the Get Set network for their exciting work around the Olympic Values of friendship, excellence and respect and the Paralympic Values of inspiration, courage, determination and equality.”
Mr Tencho will be taking photos of our children as they take part in activities at school in connection with the 2012 Olympics. He will like to have those photos advertised on the official Olympic website.
